Starkers at The Glory: PRIDE & PROTEST

  • The Glory 281 Kingsland Road London E2 8AS United Kingdom (map)

Be part of the life drawing event that celebrates the fabulous Queens & Queers who made sure that love really does happen here. In June 1969, the Stonewall Riots in New York were the spark that set off the fuse of pride protests around the world, and at the forefront of those riots were the likes of Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P. Johnson, and other drag queens, transsexuals and Queers with power, purpose and passion.  As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of gay sex in the UK, this really is a time to remember the struggles and have a party.
